TARC bus driver hospitalized after being stabbed by passenger, police say

Police are investigating after a TARC bus driver was stabbed.The Louisville Metro Police Department said the stabbing happened around 11:45 a.m. Friday. Officers said a female passenger was boarding the bus at Warnock at South Floyd, which is on the University of Louisville’s campus, when she “failed to pay bus fare.”Police said when the TARC driver tried to get the passenger to leave the bus, she stabbed him.The driver, described only as male, was taken to University Hospital. As of 12:45 p.m., he was still there, police said.The extent of his injuries was not provided.The woman is currently being detained for questioning, police said.
