good Friday morning, everyone. Wook y meteorologist Chris Johnson here with a quick jack of your updated forecast. Looking ahead for later today, this evening tonight. Here come the remnants of Laura expected to push off towards the east through this afternoon. As that happens. Well, here comes our rain and storm chances that begin to ramp up across much of the W. L K Y viewing areas. Far is that severe threat is concerned. We’re not talking a big time. Severe weather outbreak. Biting means nothing like that. But there is a low end severe threat for some breezy the gusty winds, heavy rainfall in a few rotating thunderstorms. Typically with these tropical systems, they come with a lot of spin in the atmosphere. So something we need to keep a close eye on, especially across our southern communities as we get into the first part of this evening. All right, here’s a look at future cast heading throughout the rest of this morning. Getting into this afternoon. Some of those light scattered showers will continue across the area. Something to keep in mind. But notice what happens late afternoon into the first part of this evening. Yeah, here comes the chance for the heavier rainfall, the thunderstorms that will work across the area. That’s noted well in future cast with the darker greens, the yellows, the Reds that are showing up. Now here’s the good news. This system is in and it’s out of here. Notice just past midnight bulk of the heavier rainfalls along I 75 points to the east by early Saturday morning. Dry skies are taking over. A cold front will sweep into town into our Saturday afternoon. Brings just a small chance for a spotty shower or to most of us will stay on the dryer side. Otherwise, it’s all about acquitting skies for your Saturday evening into Saturday night, and that leads to what will be a really nice feeling Sunday Forecast. Checking out low eighties for high Small Chance is there for a shower, especially to our south, and then we’ll track in more rain and storm chances as we get into next week.
