Louisville man accused of trying to flee from Indiana state police with his children in car

A Louisville man tried to flee from officers in southern Indiana over the weekend after he was caught tossing out what is believed to be methamphetamine, all while his two daughters were in the back of the vehicle.Rex L. White, 26, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of dealing methamphetamine, neglect of a dependent, felon in possession of a firearm, resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana and obstruction of justice, among other charges, Indiana state police said.According to investigators, White was pulled over Sunday after a traffic infraction on Interstate 65 near Memphis, Indiana. White, who was driving a 2011 Hyundai, was spotted trying to dispose of a white substance, which investigators believe is meth.White tried to flee from the troopers while he was taken into custody despite the fact that his two daughters, ages 5 and 7, were in the back seat.Investigators said they found approximately 5 ounces of suspected meth in the vehicle. Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun were also confiscated, state police said.White was booked into the Clark County Jail.His children were brought to a family member after his arrest.
