Louisville Metro detectives are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian Tuesday evening.The hit-and-run was reported before 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 265 south near Brownsboro Road, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.Investigators said a pedestrian was attempting to clear debris from the road when the individual was struck by a vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is believed to be a red pickup truck with Kentucky tags and probably front-end damage, according to the LMPD.Officials said the vehicle continued driving south after the hit-and-run.The LMPD’s traffic unit is handling the investigation.Detectives have not released additional information about the case.The victim has not yet been identified.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call 502-574-5673.
