An episode of a cable documentary series featuring the Breonna Taylor case premieres this week.The “New York Times presents: The Killing of Breonna Taylor” takes a closer look at what happened the night Taylor was shot and killed.Taylor was shot several times by officers who went to her home with a search warrant as part of a drug investigation. Officers who broke down the door were met with gunfire from Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker.Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and two detectives, Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankinson were placed on administrative reassignment after the shooting. Hankison was later fired.The episode features interviews with many people close to the case including Taylor’s boyfriend, Walker, and her mother, Tamika Palmer.The episode is set to air Friday on the cable network FX, and will be available to stream on HuLu Saturday.On Sunday, Kentucky’s attorney general received a long-awaited FBI ballistics report in the controversial case. It’s still up in the air when the investigation will be complete, but no announcement is expected this week.
