The Belle of Louisville is gearing up for a summer full of cruising the Ohio River. This year’s cruising season includes new, low-cost cruises.Experiences geared toward kids and families with smaller children include Pirates & Princesses and Superhero themed cruises.There is also a Harbor History cruise, Sunset Saturday cruises and ones showcasing happy hour, such as Throwback Thursdays and Anchors Away Fridays with specials and trivia.”Quite literally, we feel like it’s our job to offer people access to the Ohio River that makes this city so special and part of our history,” said Krista Snider, CEO, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. “We’re trying to attract all different kinds of people, all different kinds of audiences.” The Belle also announced a new membership program called the Paddlewheel Society. There are three membership levels available to choose from.The memberships include benefits including sightseeing passes, free popcorn each time you cruise, invitations to members-only events and more.”We had a lot of longtime supporters and we wanted to give them a way not only to support us and our preservation efforts and all of that,” said Savannah Wafford, Community Outreach Manager. “But, also, to give them some incentive to come and spend time out on the river and enjoy our river boats.”Along with benefits and opportunities, this allows members of the Paddlewheel Society to help support the preservation efforts of the Historic Belle and Life Saving Station #10, along with the development of educational and public programming.For more information, click here.
