4 people indicted in string of armed robberies of Louisville businesses

Four people arrested in October as part of a string of armed robberies across Louisville have now been indicted, according to court records.Samuel Cleo Harding, Lashai Alline Savage and Rodney Lee Offutt were charged under the indictments with several crimes, including first degree robbery, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property, evading police and wanton endangerment.These charges are in connection with 12 separate robberies of Louisville Metro businesses that were committed between Oct. 7 and Oct. 17.According to the Assistant Commonwealth Attorney’s office, Harding, Savage and Offutt committed some robberies together, and some robberies individually.Ten of the 13 total robberies occurred within the LMPD’s jurisdiction, while the other three robberies were in Shively.While gas stations and restaurants were targeted, most of the robberies took place at Family Dollar, Dollar General and Walgreen’s locations.The Louisville Metro Police announced the arrest of the three charged suspects along with the arrest of another armed robbery suspect, Keemont Louis Oates, who was charged with two counts of robbery in separate incidents.
