A 19-year-old was killed early Wednesday in a head-on crash in Nelson County.The crash was reported after 6 a.m. on Highway 245 — New Shepherdsville Road — near Templin Avenue, according to Kentucky State Police.Investigators said a 45-year-old man was driving south on Highway 245 when, for reasons unknown, he crossed the center line into the northbound lanes.The 45-year-old man’s car then struck a Volkswagen Jetta head-on, which was being driven by 19-year-old Joseph Daughtery, of Bloomfield.Daughtery was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner’s Office.Officials said the 45-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The area was shut down for several hours Wednesday as KSP investigated.
